An Update of What's Been Going On

Wow I cannot believe how slack I've been with my blogging this year! I just realised it's been 3 months since my last blog post, so I'm going to post a quick-ish update on me :)

I've now been interning at Woodend Christian Camp for 8 months, and it's definitely had it's ups and downs (most of them are ups though!) Despite it's challenges, I've really enjoyed being a part of the Woodend family. I've also discovered my main passion in camping is working with underprivileged children - which is something I'll be praying about for the future. I have 2 and a half months left before graduation (seriously, where has the time gone!?) and then after that, who knows??

I've been battling with an on-going injury to my right wrist and forearm for a couple of years now, and today - after visiting a hand specialist - I finally have answers...so this has changed my plans for Summer a little. It's looking like I have nerve damage, plus a possibility of tendon damage. So I'm wearing all sorts of splints to try and fix/settle the injury down before we proceed to whatever the next step is. This has been a relief to finally have answers, but it will have its challenges - and will have to wait and see what God has in store.

While on semester break, I was able to take 10 days off work and do a road trip south to see my family. My best friend Hannah, was able to join me, and we had an amazing time together - seeing some awesome scenery, showing her where I grew up, meeting my family, and snacking on sherbet fizz lollies while singing at the top of our lungs. It was such a nice break away, and we were able to admire God's creation up close.

Semester two is now in full swing - with assignments due all the time (it seems! haha) and schools groups coming back to Woodend. We've been learning some interesting stuff in class, and it's been cool being able to practically live out what we've been learning.

Well, other than working in the kitchen, studying, getting ready for the next kids holiday camps, doctors visits, and preparing for upcoming family weddings, that's pretty much it for now. Wow, this update is a lot quicker than I thought! ...

Thanks for all your prayers over the last few months :)
Have a good weekend!
Esther x
